As a geriatrician, I’ve found that Sir William Osler’s bedside teachings are more relevant today than ever. I enjoy telling stories from my own practice that mirror the challenges Osler faced a century ago. My writing follows a narrative arc, connecting the history of medicine with the real-world case studies I encounter in the clinic. I believe that by looking backward at our heritage, we find the wisdom needed to move forward in caring for our aging population.
